Job summary

Hyppies is seeking a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our established team in Kuala Lumpur. You will drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, automation and platform delivery, acting as a technical bridge between developers, delivery teams and stakeholders.

You will enhance environments on AWS, build reusable IaC modules, and streamline deployment practices to reduce manual work. Strong automation mindset and fintech/regulatory experience are a plus, with AWS certification

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Infrastructure / Platform Engineering.
• Experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform and/or Ansible), CI/CD, Docker.
• Automation and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in fintech or regulated environments; AWS certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key technical contact for developers, delivery teams and business stakeholders, helping translate project requirements into practical platform solutions.
• Improve how environments are built, configured and delivered across AWS, with a strong focus on consistency and automation.
• Look for opportunities to remove manual work, streamline processes and improve delivery efficiency across the engineering function.
• Create reusable IaC modules, automation and deployment practices that can support multiple projects and teams.
• Work proactively with upcoming projects to ensure the right infrastructure and platform capabilities are ready when needed.
• Troubleshoot delivery challenges, remove technical blockers and continuously look for ways to improve the developer and delivery experience.
• Be involved in production launches and post-release support, ensuring smooth deployments and handover to the Operations team.
• Share knowledge and contribute to documentation, standards and best practices that help the wider engineering team work more effectively.

What you bring.

• Ideally min. 5 years of experience in DevOps / Infrastructure / Platform Engineering, with hands-on exposure to production environments
• Solid experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform and/or Ansible),CI/CD, Docker, automated environment provisioning, with some understanding of on-premises environment
• A strong automation and continuous improvement mindset- you naturally look for ways to reduce manual work & make processes more efficient
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage developers as well as senior/non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in fintech/other regulated environments + AWS certificationare a plus
