Job summary

Ignite Search Partners, partnering with a rapidly scaling global software company, is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join the Cloud Hosting & Operations team. You will own cloud infrastructure, security, monitoring and database operations across platforms, reporting to the Infrastructure Manager.

The role involves deploying and maintaining cloud environments, configuring networks, supporting deployments, optimizing costs, and building automation with Python, Shell or Bash.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure or DevOps experience.
• Experience with AWS, Huawei Cloud or GCP.
• Linux administration with VPC networking, VPNs and firewalls.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience (EKS / CCE / GKE).
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Experience with enterprise software environments is a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation and collaborate with R&D, Product, Delivery, CS teams.

We are currently partnering with a rapidly scaling global software company specialising in next-generation Warehouse Management and Supply Chain Execution Systems, with a strong and growing presence across the APAC region.

They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud Hosting & Operations team as a hands-on individual contributor, reporting to the Infrastructure Manager and taking ownership of cloud infrastructure, security, monitoring and database operations across their platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring consistent service levels and availability across all platforms
• Manage infrastructure instances including routine patching, capacity monitoring and hardware lifecycle upkeep
• Configure and maintain network components including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, direct connect and VPC configurations across all cloud platforms
• Monitor resource utilisation and support cloud cost optimisation actions such as right-sizing, scheduling and resource clean-up
• Automate provisioning, backup, recovery and patching; write Python, Shell or Bash scripts to reduce manual operational toil
• Provide hands‑on infrastructure support to delivery teams during customer deployment phases and go‑live milestones, ensuring environments are stable and handover‑ready for WMS application
• Manage and tune database infrastructure supporting WMS including MySQL, MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL, covering HA, backup and failover, as well as middleware services such as Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, Zookeeper and Nacos
• Execute system upgrades, platform migrations and infrastructure scaling with minimal service downtime
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus and Huawei Cloud Eye
• Track and report on infrastructure availability, SLA performance, RTO/RPO metrics and incident trends
• Maintain accurate documentation for all cloud environments, runbooks and architecture diagrams
• Collaborate with R&D, Product, Delivery and Customer Success teams across regions on infrastructure requirements and deployment coordination

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, cloud operations or DevOps engineering
• Practical experience with AWS, Huawei Cloud or GCP; exposure across two or more platforms is a strong advantage
• Experience in application environments including Nginx, Tomcat, databases (MySQL, MSSQL or PostgreSQL) and middleware services (Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, Zookeeper, Nacos)
• Solid Linux administration skills, including VPC networking, routing, VPNs and firewall configuration
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS / CCE / GKE) and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, BitBucket, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
• Experience with HA/DR implementation, cloud cost optimisation and cloud security frameworks
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible is an advantage
• Experience supporting enterprise software environments such as WMS, ERP or Supply Chain platforms is a strong advantage
• Strong ownership mindset, self‑directed work style and solid problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus for regional team and client collaboration
