Job summary

Adecco seeks a Senior Developer – Remittance & Payments (AS400 RPG) for a multinational BFSI client located in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead design, development, and support of core banking payment and remittance systems, focusing on AS400/DB2 environments and local payment workflows.

The role requires 6-9 years in AS400 development, hands-on RPG expertise, and strong knowledge of Local/ Bill Payments. You will drive code reviews, performance tuning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in AS400 application development and support.
• Strong hands-on experience in RPG development (mandatory).
• Experience with AS400/IBM i operating systems.
• DB2 database development and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Local Payments and Bill Payment systems (mandatory).
• Experience in Cash Management, Rate Provisioning, GIRO and Instant Payment processing.
• Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
• Understanding Core Banking payment workflows and transaction processing.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support Core Banking payment and remittance applications on the AS400 platform.
• Develop and enhance applications using RPG and DB2 technologies.

• Analyze business requirements and translate into technical solutions.

Required Skills:

• 6-9 years of experience in AS400 application development and support
• Strong hands-on experience in RPG development (mandatory)
