Muhibbah Engineering (M) Berhad is seeking an experienced Structural Designer/Checker to join our team in Malaysia. You will prepare and review structural steel shop drawings, welding details, and fabrication notes to ensure compliance with project specs and codes.

You will also update MTOs and material records, provide fabrication support with revisions, and coordinate with construction and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth fabrication activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Designer/Checker in Oil & Gas or heavy fabrication.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review structural steel shop drawings, connections, welding details, and fabrication notes to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Prepare and update Material Take-Off (MTO), material records, and structural weight reports to ensure accuracy and consistency with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Provide fabrication support by resolving drawing issues, incorporating revisions, and coordinating with construction and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth fabrication activities.
• Utilize TEKLA Structures for structural detailing and drawing extraction, and support integration with PDMS/E3D and Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines, monitor drawing progress, maintain revision control, and ensure proper documentation in accordance with project and QA/QC requirements.

• Fabrication yard experience is preferred.
