Job summary

MUHIBBAH ENGINEERING (M) BHD in Malaysia seeks a Structural Engineer to support offshore fabrication projects. You will review structural drawings, resolve fabrication issues, and coordinate with TEKLA, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with standards.

Under senior engineers, you will perform structural analysis for temporary works, lifting, rigging, loadout and transport, assist with MTO and material verification, prepare technical queries, and maintain comprehensive

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng or equivalent with Honours in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Experience and capability in structural analysis and drawings review is required.
• Knowledge of offshore oil & gas fabrication standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to fabrication yard activities, reviewing structural drawings and resolving fabrication issues.
• Coordinate with TEKLA, construction, and QA/QC teams to align on project requirements.
• Assist in preparing technical queries and resolving non-conformance issues with clients and design consultants.
• Support structural analysis and design checks for temporary works, lifting, rigging, loadout and transportation.
• Assist with weight control, MTO, material verification, purchase requisitions, and evaluation of vendor quotations.
• Maintain engineering documentation including drawings, calculation reports, material records, redline drawings, and as-built documents.
• Work under senior engineers to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Job description

Support weight control, Material Take-Off (MTO), material verification, purchase requisitions, and technical evaluations of vendor quotations.

Maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, calculation reports, material records, redline drawings, and as-built documents

Qualifications

• Degree (Hons) in Civil/Structural Engineering

Working Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in an Oil & Gas offshore fabrication project.
