Job summary

Dyson Malaysia is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to drive complex product design from concept to production. You will own design requirements, manage prototypes, and guide cross-functional teams to meet cost, time, and quality targets.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 8+ years of hands-on design experience, with strong CAD, GD&T, and DFM/DFX knowledge, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in design and product development, with complex technical problems.
• Ability to analyze processes and plan with clear design objectives.
• Experience delivering designs to production on time and to spec.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product designs and assemblies to production on time and to specification.
• Plan tasks by risk, maturity, and interdependencies.
• Lead technical discussions with leads and managers and provide guidance.
• Manage prototypes for testing, review, and demonstration.
• Support continuous improvement to quality and cost reduction.
