Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Debug Engineer in Prai, Penang to support product testing and validation activities. The role focuses on debugging complex electronic hardware and software, coordinating with engineering teams, and driving issue resolution during product development and test cycles.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and typically 5 years of progressive experience in related functions, with a hands-on approach to debugging, test methods, and data

Responsibilities

• Understand test conditions, sequences and phases of test operations.
• Prepare technical summary reports for engineering and management.
• Interface with engineering to resolve testing problems such as malfunctions or data issues.
• Use software/hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.
• Allocate defect causes and prepare reports for quality, purchasing, SQA.
• Coordinate with floor support and technicians on test hardware/software.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add aSenior Debug Engineer located inPrai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.

• Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.

• Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.

• Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for examination purpose.

• Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for follow other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.

• Interferes with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.

• Resolves test yield problems by performing investigation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

• Evaluate and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).

• Resolves failures from Point of origin / point of detection.

• Evaluates and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design related Failure Analysis Report.
