Flex is seeking a Senior Debug Engineer in Prai, Penang to join our production engineering team. You will design, execute and document tests on complex electronic products, interpret results and report findings to management.
You’ll work closely with design and manufacturing to resolve test failures, optimize test yields, and configure digital circuits using FPGA and BGA techniques. A bachelor’s degree and ~5 years of related experience are required, with on-site work in Malaysia.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Debug Engineer located in Prai, Penang.
Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel. Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for examination purpose. Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for follow other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA. Interferes with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques. Resolves test yield problems by performing investigation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. Evaluate and configure digital circuits using Field programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA). Resolves failures from Point of origin / point of detection. Evaluates and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design related Failure Analysis Report.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in related functions.
