Flex is seeking a Senior Debug Manager for our Prai, Penang site to lead debugging and yield improvement efforts. You’ll evaluate test data, interpret product performance and coordinate corrective actions across engineering and quality teams.

You will train floor support, repair technicians and test operators on test hardware and software, drive root-cause investigations, and ensure follow-up on solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and product reliability.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in EMS/ electronics manufacturing.
• Typically requires 10 years of related experience in EMS industry.

• Resolve yield problems via root cause examination and corrective actions; monitor improvements.

• Evaluate and configure digital circuits using FPGA and BGA; diagnose failures from origin to detection.

Responsible for evaluating and interpreting test data and product performance, providing technical advice for repair. Plays a crucial role in resolving yield problems by conducting root cause examination, coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements. Involved in training and instructing floor support, repair technicians, and test operators on test hardware and software, as well as ensuring proper follow‑up of problem solutions. These activities contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing process. We’re looking to add a Senior Debug Manager located in Prai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Understands conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Prepares technical summary reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
• Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software for examination purpose.
• Allocates defect causes to the various sources e.g. process, material, and prepares reports for follow other involved like quality, purchasing, SQA.
• Interferes with floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem solving techniques.
• Resolves test yield problems by performing investigation of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Evaluate and configure digital circuits using Field programable Gate Array (FPGA) and Ball Grid Array (BGA).
• Resolves failures from Point of origin / point of detection.
• Evaluates and interprets test data and product performance with proper evidence of design related Failure Analysis Report.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training in EMS industry.
• Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
