Job summary

G-AsiaPacific is seeking a hands-on Mid-Level Data Engineer in Puchong to design and optimize data pipelines using AWS. You will join Sales, Solution Architects, Technology and Delivery to deliver data-driven solutions for customers.

The role requires 3–5 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and Python, and ability to run discovery workshops, assess data landscapes and support presales activities. On-site work in Malaysia with opportunity to grow and impact customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Data Engineering experience with hands-on delivery.
• Strong AWS experience with Redshift and analytics services.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark preferred.
• Ability to conduct customer workshops and present technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes.
• Build data warehouses and data lakes.
• Work with Sales, SA, Technology and Delivery to translate requirements.
• Support presales activities and customer presentations.
• Triage data environments and recommend consolidation or migration.
• Assist in ML/AI data engineering pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data workloads for performance and cost.
