Job summary

Endava is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to design and build scalable data platforms. You will work with internal clients to translate requirements into robust data solutions, spanning from prototype to production.

The role emphasizes developing data pipelines, leveraging AWS services, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a hybrid work environment. Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of software engineering experience and strong Python skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
3–6 years of progressive software engineering experience.
Strong experience with Python and AWS cloud ecosystem.
Experience with any MPP database technology.
Experience with agile methodologies is highly desirable.
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts.

Responsibilities

Guide and drive discussions, support decision-making, and mentor in discussions.
Oversee and deliver complex core tasks and guide others effectively.
Develop and advocate for new best practices and optimize processes.
Own and document assigned areas for completeness and clarity.
Champion compliance and standards and resolve issues.
Coordinate team collaboration and foster strong team dynamics.
Work with technical leads to align goals and solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Build automation tools and pipelines and continuously improve tech stacks.
