Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific Data Center Sr Engineer role in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will perform advanced preventative maintenance, complex repairs, and provide leadership to junior team members to ensure top-tier service delivery.

You’ll lead daily inspections of mechanical and electrical systems, respond to BMS alarms, and document activities while upholding safety and regulatory standards on site. Outlook: collaboration and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred, or 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Document and report to management.
• Assist staff with difficult planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to high-priority HVAC-related client problems.
• Review and approve meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities to ensure accurate information is documented.
• Subject matter expert on Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
• Follow all safety processes and regulatory requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure ACOPs applicable to the maintenance industry are followed.
• Conduct complex quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
• Develop and implement work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment.
• Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of responsibilities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to accomplish complex assignments and share knowledge with others.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Build consensus and reach agreement.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and explain difficult information.
