Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking a skilled M&E facilities technician to operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned properties in Johor Bahru. The role focuses on safe operation, proactive maintenance, and reducing downtime through testing and planned work.

You will supervise subcontractors, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. A BO Chargeman 33KV is preferred, along with a licensed electrician background and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years as licensed electrician
• BO Chargeman 33KV preferred
• Formal apprenticeship completed; Master Electrician license per local codes
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and budgets
• Experience with DDC and EMS systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspections, quality control, and supervision of employees and subcontractors.
• Deal with incidents, complaints, breakdowns and repairs.
• Provide 24 hour emergency support and act as first responder to emergencies.
• Ensure safety rules and guidelines are followed.
• Inspect M&E equipment and record readings per EC requirements.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance work.
• Attend to technical calls and ensure smooth daily operation of facilities.
