Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a senior analytics professional in Malaysia to turn data into actionable insights for management and business performance. You will drive performance analysis, identify drivers, risks and opportunities, and deliver analytical solutions that support growth, profitability and client outcomes.

You will work with stakeholders to translate questions into analyses, validate data, and measure outcomes, while independently managing workstreams and communicating findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with analytics, data science or BI.
• Hands-on experience with large datasets and analytical tools.
• Experience in creating BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau).
• Experience in financial services or insurance analytics is a plus.
• Ability to translate business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business performance and identify key drivers and opportunities across channels, products, client segments and processes.
• Develop and maintain analytical solutions, dashboards and decision-support products with reliable visibility and leading indicators.
• Partner with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and translate questions into structured analyses.
• Prepare, transform and validate data, develop analytical variables and perform data-quality checks.
• Support design, implementation and measurement of interventions; track outcomes and impact.
• Automate recurring analyses, standardise approaches and document analytical components to improve efficiency.
