Job summary

Great Eastern in Malaysia seeks a seasoned cybersecurity project delivery lead to drive end-to-end security solutions from design to production. You will coordinate architecture reviews, manage vendors, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting transition to Day-2 operations.

You will guide cross-functional teams, deliver robust security controls, and mentor engineering staff in security best practices within an insurance/financial services context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing cyber security or IT projects, preferably in insurance or banking.
• Strong understanding of cyber security domains, controls, frameworks, and tools across infrastructure, endpoints, cloud, and network.
• Hands-on experience with cyber security solutions including SIEM, IGA, PAM, Endpoint Security, ZTNA/SASE, Cloud and network security.
• Experience deploying cloud security, Zero Trust, identity security, or endpoint protection in enterprise environments.
• Ability to translate security requirements into technical deliverables and implementation plans.
• Proven track record managing large-scale enterprise security implementations with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, CISSP, CISM, CCSP considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solutioning and implementation of cyber security projects.
• Coordinate design discussions, architecture reviews, and integration planning with SMEs and vendors.
• Ensure solutions comply with internal policy, standards, procedures, and regulatory instruments.
• Review architectures, security controls, and integration approaches.
• Lead testing, deployment planning, migration activities, and troubleshooting sessions.
• Provide timely reporting, escalate risks, and manage vendor deliverables and SLAs.
• Develop Day-2 BAU operating models and ensure readiness for go-live.
• Maintain documentation such as RAIDs, implementation plans, and runbooks.
• Support risk, compliance, and security assurance activities and assessments.
• Act as technical delivery lead from design through production deployment.
