Job summary

ABPGroup Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks a Senior / Security Engineer to support enterprise cybersecurity solutions across client environments and contribute to both project delivery and ongoing security operations.

You will play a key role in strengthening clients’ security posture through hands-on deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous support of security systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in a system integrator, managed services, or cybersecurity environment.
• Strong foundation in networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and switching).
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux systems, including virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and security technologies, with a strong interest in cybersecurity.
• Exposure to scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) is advantageous.
• Exposure to security domains such as network security, endpoint protection, SIEM, or IAM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to support after-hours, weekends, and public holidays as part of operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for security solutions, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution
• Execute the implementation, configuration, and integration of cybersecurity products within client environments
• Support end-to-end project delivery lifecycle, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with requirements
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design specifications, configurations, and operational procedures
• Provide post-implementation support, including incident management, escalation coordination, and participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation
• Conduct client training and knowledge transfer sessions to enable effective system usage and improve security awareness
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance, resilience, and security effectiveness
