Job summary

SF International in Malaysia is seeking an experienced information security professional to monitor and respond to network security alerts and incidents for overseas systems, including emergency response operations. You will develop and maintain monitoring models and tools, and operate security solutions across overseas infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with WAF, HIDS, EDR, data protection technologies, and strong incident response skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in information security.
• Knowledge of web vulnerability principles and protections.
• Familiarity with network security tools including WAF, HIDS, EDR.
• Experience in security incident response and investigation.
• English proficiency required; Chinese literacy is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability to new tech.

This role involves monitoring and responding to network security alerts and incidents for overseas systems, including emergency response operations. You will develop and maintain network security monitoring models and tools, operate security solutions, and manage vulnerability and data security operations across overseas infrastructure.

Develop and maintain network security monitoring models and monitoring tools for overseas infrastructure

Operate and manage overseas security tools including WAF, API security, host security, and container security solutions

Manage vulnerability operations for overseas application systems, including identification, assessment, and remediation

Oversee operation of overseas data security protection capabilities, including data classification and categorization, encryption, access control, and data sharing management

Oversee risk assessment, remediation, and governance implementation for overseas application systems

Manage data breach monitoring and emergency response for overseas application systems

About you

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in the information security industry

Thorough knowledge of common web vulnerability principles and corresponding protection measures

Familiarity with common network security tools and technologies including WAF, HIDS, EDR

Familiarity with data protection technologies such as encryption, sensitive data identification, access control, data masking, and watermarking

Proficiency in Windows/Linux systems, capable of performing emergency response tasks as required

Solid understanding of web security concepts and vulnerability principles including SQL injection, file upload vulnerabilities, XSS, CSRF, and deserialization attacks

Experience in security incident response, including investigation, impact assessment, containment, and traceback capabilities

Professional working proficiency in English required. Chinese literacy is a strong advantage

Strong teamwork and communication skills, with active thinking, quick learning ability, and adaptability to new technologies
