We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard our IT infrastructure, applications, and corporate data against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and security breaches. Working within our technology team in Petaling Jaya, you will monitor networks, handle incident responses, and enforce compliance across our tech ecosystem.
Continuously monitor networks, servers, and applications using SIEM tools to detect potential intrusion or suspicious activity
Lead initial triage, investigation, and mitigation of security alerts or breaches, documenting root causes and prevention strategies
Conduct regular vulnerability scans, coordinate penetration testing, and work with development teams to remediate flagged issues
Assist in enforcing ISO 27001, PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act), or local regulatory compliance frameworks
Conduct security training and phishing simulations for internal staff to promote a security-first culture
Manage and configure firewalls, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) agents, and identity access systems
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years in SOC (Security Operations Center), threat detection, or IT security analysis
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, ELK), firewalls, network protocols (TCP/IP, VPN), and log analysis tools
Good understanding of Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and general IT governance standards
Sharp analytical skills under pressure, high ethical standards, and clear communication when explaining risks to non-technical stakeholders
CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP, or CySA+ (Preferred)
