Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia seeks a specialist to identify deteriorating loan risks early and coordinate actions with Business & Corporate Banking. The role reports to the Head, Group Special Assets and aims to minimize losses through effective strategy and timely reporting.

The candidate will evaluate Watch List and High Risk accounts, monitor compliance, and provide timely alerts and updates for management and auditors, contributing to risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen.
• Degree holder in Business, Accounting, Banking & Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years related working experience.
• Able to work both independently as well as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, take pride in one’s work and committed with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Credit evaluation of WL and HR accounts, identify concerns and recommend actions.
• Assess trigger hits to determine downgrades to WL/HR.
• Manage WL/HR with BC, monitor payments and compliance, provide status updates.
• Assist BC in dealing with accounts with credit concerns and related queries.
• Provide Early Alerts to BC & CED via Pre-IL report and daily monitoring.
• Prepare/update status report of WL & HR accounts for SAC Meetings and auditors.
• Update status for new inflows into WL/HR.
