Job summary

bp in Kuala Lumpur seeks a senior Credit Portfolio Manager to lead Day 2 management of the RPT/GPT Global Credit Portfolio, assessing qualitative and quantitative triggers, risk concentrations and trends to ensure alignment with risk appetite.

You will work with the Credit Advisory team to operationalise collateral structures, mentor the Kuala Lumpur Portfolio Team, and present portfolio risk insights to senior management in governance forums.

Qualifications

• Extensive credit risk experience across large/complex portfolios.
• Strong ability to identify triggers and risks from market developments.
• Deep understanding of financial documents and business model risk.
• Experience driving work streams and initiatives.
• Experience influencing partner teams toward common goals.
• Curious mindset to link macro risk to portfolio impact.
• Proven delivery of risk mitigation actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Day 2 management of the RPT/GPT global credit portfolio and assess risk triggers and concentrations.
• Manage day-to-day exposures and controls to stay within credit risk appetite.
• Collaborate with Credit Advisory to operationalise collateral structures and setup requirements.
• Monitor macroeconomic trends and advise on appetite changes.
• Oversee collateral management and coordinate with margining teams to resolve disputes.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss risk appetite in governance forums.
• Mentor Kuala Lumpur Portfolio Team and participate in broader credit projects.
