Job summary

TotalEnergies is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator / Project Cost Controller to support the Development Team within the Exploration & Production business in Malaysia. The role requires strong expertise in cost estimation, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and project execution for oil & gas projects.

The candidate will develop cost estimation methodologies, analyze project inputs, update cost factors, and produce formal cost reports.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in cost estimation and cost control for oil & gas projects.
Proven budgeting and forecasting capabilities for large EPC projects.
Experience with WBS, AFE, FIP, and project reporting.

Responsibilities

Develop cost estimation methodology following GS/GM and AACE standards.
Analyze project inputs to identify cost factors.
Update unit rates, norms and all cost factors to latest information.
Prepare and issue cost estimate memo/report as part of deliverables.
Cost control and forecasting, progress and accrual updates, financial reporting.
Liaise with Finance for reconciliation before monthly/year-end closing.
Implement HSSE practices in the office.
Attend and complete mandatory trainings.
