Job summary

Exal Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuching is seeking an experienced finance professional to own financial planning, cash flow and corporate finance for property development projects and group growth.

You will prepare forecasts, budgets and cash flow projections, monitor development costs and funding, coordinate with banks on facilities, and deliver analyses to support management decisions. Work closely with the Finance Director and project teams to drive timely implementation of finance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance experience in property development or construction.
• Strong understanding of project financing, development costs, cash flow planning and project financial performance.
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and management reporting.
• Experience dealing with banks and financial institutions on financing facilities is highly preferred.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Commercially minded, proactive and capable of working independently.
• Able to translate financial information into practical recommendations for Management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial forecasts, budgets and cash flow projections across the Group.
• Monitor project cash flow, development costs, funding requirements and financial commitments.
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on project financing, loan facilities and related documentation.
• Prepare financial analysis, management reports and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Support project feasibility studies, investment evaluations and financial modelling for new developments.
• Monitor project profitability, financial performance and funding utilisation.
• Work closely with the Finance Director and project teams on financial planning and business performance.
• Identify potential financial risks, cash flow gaps and cost implications, and recommend practical solutions.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of corporate finance matters.
• Take ownership of assigned finance initiatives and drive them through to completion.
