Job summary

MINCONSULT in Malaysia seeks a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to join the Corporate Finance & Advisory team. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
• CFA/CPA or related qualifications are an added advantage.
• 5–8 years of experience in engineering consulting, infrastructure advisory, or project finance.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (Excel, VBA or other tools).
• Understanding of infrastructure finance, PPP frameworks, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiar with engineering project lifecycles and procurement processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to translate data into commercial insights.
• Team-oriented with cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake financial feasibility/business valuation assessment.
• Strategically advise management on a broad set of financial matters.
• Provide input on procurement models and risk allocation based on technical/financial assessments.
• Build and review detailed financial models including capital costs, lifecycle costs, revenue projections, and funding structures.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess financial risk and resilience of project outcomes.
• Interpret technical and cost data from engineering teams to inform investment decisions.
• Conduct sectoral studies and market scans to identify investment trends and funding opportunities.
• Benchmark global/regional projects to support value-for-money assessments.
