Job summary

Cheil Malaysia is seeking an experienced copywriter to craft compelling copy across TVCs, social media, EDMs, and digital banners. You will maintain a cohesive brand voice and collaborate with creative, brand, and account teams to translate client briefs into effective messaging.

The role requires strong English writing skills, a minimum of six years in copywriting, and proven ability to develop persuasive copy for diverse formats.

Qualifications

• Excellent English writing skills with strong grammar and attention to detail.
• Minimum 6 years of copywriting experience; agency experience preferred.
• Bachelor's or higher in Advertising/Media/Linguistics or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teams and clients.
• Proven ability to develop persuasive, engaging copy across ad formats.
• Experience in conceptualising and developing creative pitches and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling, conceptually strong copy across campaign touchpoints (TVCs, social, EDMs, banners).
• Maintain a consistent brand tone and voice across platforms.
• Collaborate with creative, brand and account teams to translate briefs into copy.
• Work with art directors to align copy with visual tone and style.
• Present creative concepts and campaign ideas to clients.
• Attend shoots to oversee copy execution and handle last-minute changes.
