Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a versatile writer who can craft social content and long-form pieces in BM and English. You will translate research into engaging threads, carousels and video scripts, then develop features, explainers, and op-eds with editorial support.

You will repurpose longer pieces into social-friendly formats, collaborate with senior editors, and ensure accuracy through thorough factchecking. Adaptability for ad hoc tasks and long hours is expected with compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years writing professionally, including long-form.
• Digital publishing, content studio or freelance experience counts.
• Portfolio with both social content and long-form work.
• Fluent written BM and English, writing original copy in both.
• Good understanding of what performs on social.
• Able to work directly with senior stakeholders.
• Sound judgement on sensitive subjects.
• Able to take on ad hoc tasks and work long hours when required, with compensation.
