Job summary

Cypark Resources Berhad is seeking an experienced Manager, Contracts to oversee contractual and commercial matters across Waste-to-Energy and green asset projects in Malaysia. You will manage contract administration, negotiations, claims, variations and project risks through the full lifecycle.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years in related areas, including 8–12 years in contract or commercial management, with familiarity in FIDIC, NEC, PAM, CIPAA and other standard

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience including 8–12 years in contract/commercial management.
• Experience in major EPC, infrastructure, power-generation, renewable-energy or Waste-to-Energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of claims, variations, EOT, valuations, final accounts and risk management.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, PAM, PWD/JKR and CIPAA is highly desirable.
• Registration with BQSM, RISM, RICS or BEM is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage EPC, consultancy, supply, O&M and other project-related contracts.
• Evaluate claims, variations, extensions of time, compensation events and final accounts.
• Lead commercial negotiations with contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Support tender evaluations and review specifications, bills of quantities and contract conditions.
• Verify project progress, completed work and quantities for payment valuations.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support dispute resolution, mediation, CIPAA adjudication or arbitration where required.
• Prepare contractual and commercial reports for senior management.
• Work closely with Project, Engineering, Procurement, Legal and Finance teams.
