Job summary

Popular Book Co. (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a content and editorial leader to spearhead publishing and production planning for the company’s magazine. You will manage a team, coordinate workload, and ensure deadlines are met while guiding editorial content in line with company direction.

You will edit and proofread articles in English, Malay and Chinese, contribute to interviewing personalities, and develop advertising channels and collaborations to benefit the publication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in language, journalism, business or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in Content Marketing or related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines.
• Experience in scriptwriting, content writing, copywriting, content creation, journalism, media, marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, manage and coordinate publishing and production of the magazine/publication.
• Oversee a team; organize workload, assign responsibilities, meet deadlines, delegate tasks, motivate the team.
• Organize brainstorm sessions with editorial team and marketing to align with company directions.
• Write, edit and proofread English, Malay and Chinese content; occasional writing and interviewing personalities.
• Develop and manage advertising channels and potential promotion tie-ups for the magazine.
