Job summary

MANES GLOBAL SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Creative Leader to guide the creative team and ensure high-quality project delivery across publishing and marketing assets.

You will develop concepts, visual directions, and design strategies that align with brand identity, campaign goals, and target audiences, while collaborating with marketing, editorial, and production teams to translate business objectives into effective creative outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Creative Multimedia, or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven ability to lead creative projects and coordinate team members effectively.
• Strong creative vision, conceptual thinking, and visual storytelling skills.
• Ability to adapt creative work to the publishing industry, particularly in book design, print production, merchandise, and digital marketing materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management, organisational, and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Proficiency in relevant graphic design software and creative tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and guide the creative team to deliver projects effectively, ensuring clear direction, collaboration and accountability.
• Develop and communicate creative concepts, visual directions and design strategies that align with the company’s brand identity, campaign objectives and target audience.
• Adapt creative concepts to the publishing industry, including book covers, promotional materials, merchandise, event visuals and other print and digital assets.
• Manage creative projects from concept development to final delivery, ensuring deadlines, resources and quality expectations are met.
• Monitor digital and physical creative assets to ensure they meet industry standards, brand guidelines, technical specifications, project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Work closely with marketing, editorial, publishing and other relevant departments to translate business and campaign objectives into effective creative outputs.
• Communicate creative ideas, provide constructive feedback, present concepts and coordinate with internal teams, authors, illustrators, designers, printers, and external partners.
• Stay updated on design trends, publishing developments, production techniques and emerging creative formats to continuously improve the company’s visual communication.
