Job summary

Cisco Customer Experience (CX) is seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer to lead strategy, design, and optimization of SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing & Switching engagements for strategic customers. Shape hardware/software roadmaps and champion AI/AIOps integration within delivery practices.

You’ll mentor engineers, contribute to industry events, and drive multi-vendor collaboration while ensuring security by design and high-value outcomes for complex deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with 9 years total experience.
• Experience architecting, deploying, and optimizing enterprise Cisco networks.
• Deep expertise in Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS/Segment Routing, VXLAN/LISP).
• Experience with software programmability, automation, orchestration, and AIOps (Python, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, NETCONF/YANG, REST APIs).
• Understanding of multi-vendor environments, including DC/Nexus technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategy, design, and optimization of multi-domain solutions across SD-Access/SD-WAN/RS for strategic customers.
• Review and approve designs; guide hardware/software roadmaps; embed resilience and security by design.
• Integrate AI, automation, and AIOps into delivery practices and maintain IP/assets.
• Serve as senior escalation point for sophisticated issues; drive cross-vendor resolutions.
• Mentor junior engineers; participate in industry events; share competitive insights.
