Job summary

Loyal Group of Companies, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead West Malaysia projects. The role requires oversight of construction activities across water and wastewater infrastructure and ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to high standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, excellent interpersonal skills, and willingness to travel and relocate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or PG Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, preferably water/wastewater/infrastructural.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with clients, contractors and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities to meet cost, time, quality and customer satisfaction targets.
• Review consultant designs and perform value engineering to reduce costs.
• Identify and resolve project technical issues in a timely manner.
• Plan and supervise site work ensuring compliance with specs, drawings and safety practices.
• Ensure resources (materials, machinery, tools, skills) are available for site works.
• Troubleshoot site problems and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate meetings and document actions with stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants and internal teams as needed.
• Plan equipment delivery, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Lead and mentor subordinates to perform duties effectively.
