Job summary

MRG Global in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned General Manager of Construction to lead the KL project portfolio with a hands-on approach and clear accountability for delivery, safety and profitability. You will oversee multiple Project Directors, drive consistent standards, and partner with corporate functions to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of multi-project portfolios in construction.
• Strong track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience coordinating with finance, HR, legal, and procurement functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Project Directors overseeing KL projects.
• Maintain consistent performance standards and delivery across the portfolio.
• Review and approve plans, budgets, and resourcing from Project Directors.
• Escalate cross-project risks and resource conflicts to the Head of Malaysia.
• Own profitability and cost performance for the KL portfolio.
• Monitor P&L, cashflow and trends; intervene to avoid overruns.
• Collaborate with Finance for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support tender and contract stages with commercial acumen.
