Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Product Design Engineer to drive the design and improvement of connector solutions, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to standards. You will translate customer requirements into drawings, perform design analyses, DFMEA, and support validation.

You will lead projects, coordinate with Process Design, and aim to reduce manufacturing costs through innovative design improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
Minimum 3 years of product design development experience with strong design principles.
Experience in interconnects design is desirable; senior roles require leadership.
Proficient in mechanical design, solid mechanics, and applicable design standards.

Responsibilities

Participate in development and improvement of connector products with emphasis on manufacturability.
Translate customer requirements into product drawings and specifications; perform design analysis and DFMEA.
Ensure designs meet international industry standards and customer requirements.
Provide project leadership to define DFM with Process Design team.
Drive cost reductions through design improvements.
