Job summary

Exentec Services Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a seasoned Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager to oversee contract review and commercial aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring compliance with terms and timely reporting.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors, prepare cost forecasts, variation orders, and progress payments. Strong negotiation, Excel skills, and team leadership are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in handling QS/Contracts Management in construction industry.
• Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively (written and spoken).
• Able to work effectively independently and also in a team.
• Strong commercial / financial skills.
• Strong analytical and logical skills.
• Very good MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and handle all commercial matters of the company.
• Coordinate with clients for commercial matters and conduct on-site visits.
• Highlight discrepancies in tender documents and clarify with Consultants/Clients/Subcontractors.
• Examine billings, data and eligibility for compliance with terms and contract.
• Quantification and cost management of the project; cost control and forecasting.
• Prepare variation orders, cost impact estimates, progress payments and claims.
• Review cost impact for variation of project specifications and finalize accounts.
• Prepare certificates of payment to subcontractors per subcontract agreement.
• Work with Procurement, Finance, Commercial and Project Managers.
