Silitech Technology Corporation Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Chemical/Materials Staff Engineer to lead secondary spray/coating processes across NPI projects, ensuring robustness, defect prevention, and production readiness from prototype to mass production.

You will own material compatibility reviews for ABS, PC+ABS, PP and related resins, define DVPs, oversee DOE-driven improvements, and coordinate with ME, molding, QA, and suppliers to deliver stable, quality coatings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum 7 years in industrial spraying, coating, or related manufacturing processes.
At least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
Experience supporting NPI from prototype to mass production.
Experience working with paint suppliers, molding teams, and tooling design.
Hands-on experience evaluating and approving resin change proposals.

Responsibilities

Lead coating defect analysis and drive root cause with suppliers and process owners.
Establish and enforce coating process standards, validation discipline, and best practices.
Govern spraying process risk reviews, validation plans, and technical approvals.
Coordinate spray jig, fixture, and masking design with Engineering and Production.
Support NPI projects from prototype to process qualification and mass production handover.
Lead process improvement using DOE and data-driven methodologies.
Review and approve plastic resin change proposals and assess impact on coating adhesion and durability.
