Job summary

Silitech Technology Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior Chemical/Materials Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership for coating and material interactions. The role drives process validation, defect resolution, and supplier coordination from prototype to mass production, with emphasis on resin compatibility and process stability.

The candidate will lead NPI integration, oversee DOE-driven improvements, and ensure compliance with automotive-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in industrial spraying, coating, or related manufacturing processes.
• Strong experience in plastic resin behavior and coating interaction.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Proven experience supporting NPI from prototype to mass production.
• Experience working with paint suppliers, molding teams, and tooling design.
• Hands-on experience evaluating and approving resin change proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for secondary coating processes (spraying, painting).
• Establish and enforce coating process standards and validation discipline.
• Govern coating process risk reviews, validation plans, and technical approvals.
• Lead coating process development from prototype spraying through production qualification.
• Review prototype spray results prior to production release.
• Define and review DVP for coating processes.
• Ensure process windows (mixing, viscosity, curing, film build, appearance) are validated.
• Lead coating defect analysis and root cause investigations with suppliers.
• Coordinate spray jig, fixture, and masking design with Engineering and Production.
• Support NPI projects from prototype to mass production handover.
• Ensure coating processes meet adhesion, thickness, appearance, and durability standards.
