Job summary

Qualifications

• SPM 3A or an equivalent technical/associate degree in mechanical engineering or machining.
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Solid Edge).
• Strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and understanding of GD&T.
• Candidates without formal papers but with relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
• Select and load the correct cutting tools; set machines and program parameters.
• Write and optimize G-code/NC scripts using CAD/CAM software to generate tool paths.
• Read drawings/models to determine measurements and production methods.
• Run simulations to estimate cycle times and check for errors before production.
• Debug programs, adjust feed rates/speeds, and fix issues during machining.
• Maintain program databases, document revisions, and perform routine equipment checks.
• Train new operators on CNC machines and programs.
