Job summary

BP plc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, resilience, and operational effectiveness of our cloud-based platforms in production.

You will design automation, build observability, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC patterns while mentoring engineers across teams. 7+ years in SRE/DevOps with cloud security and scripting skills are required; BP offers a hybrid office/remote arrangement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years in Site Reliability/DevOps or related fields.
Strong cloud security knowledge including IAM, least privilege and secret management.
Experience with CI/CD, IaC and secure configuration practices.
Ability to investigate complex production problems independently.
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Improve reliability, availability and performance of cloud-based services.
Design and implement automation to reduce manual operational work.
Build and enhance monitoring, logging and observability across production systems.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis and post-mortems.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC patterns; mentor engineers.
