As the proud winner of the 2023 Google Cloud Sales Partner of the Year for the Greater China region, we are recognized for our innovative thinking, outstanding customer service, and best-in‑class use of Google Cloud products and services.
As a "CloudMiler," you will be at the forefront of assisting companies across Asia in their digital transformation journey, leveraging cutting‑edge cloud technology, data, and AI. We are a dynamic and evolving company that values a shared vision and collaborative spirit over a rigid "best candidate" profile. We believe that world‑class support is paramount to customer success.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and customer‑facing Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our growing CloudOps team. This pivotal Level 2 role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic, customer‑facing environment and is ready to take on multiple responsibilities. You will not only be a technical expert in multi‑cloud operations but also a dedicated service manager for our key clients, ensuring their continuous success and satisfaction.
Initially specializing in either AWS or GCP, you will be rapidly upskilled to become proficient in both operations, contributing to our multi‑cloud support capabilities. This role requires flexibility to work after‑office hours when situations call for providing comprehensive coverage for our regional customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Customer‑Facing Service Management: Act as a primary technical point of contact and service lead for smaller clients, building strong relationships and understanding their evolving cloud operational needs.
- Advanced Cloud Operations & Troubleshooting: Apply deep expertise and advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex compute, networking, and infrastructure‑related issues across multiple Cloud Service Providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, Alicloud - either one or more).
- Proactive Service Delivery: Oversee the day‑to‑day operational health of client cloud environments, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact service.
- Incident & Problem Management: Drive the resolution of critical and complex customer incidents, coordinating with internal teams, CSP support (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Alicloud), and third‑party vendors. You will be the focal point for communication and escalation during critical events.
- Service Reporting & Review: Produce and present comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports to customers, highlighting service performance, key metrics, and optimization opportunities.
- Automation & Efficiency: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve service delivery.
- Knowledge Leadership & Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior engineers, develop and deliver internal training, and contribute significantly to our internal and customer‑facing knowledge base (e.g., technical articles, how‑to guides).
- Shift‑Based Operations: Be prepared to work in shifts, including after‑office hours and weekends, as part of a 24/7 operational model to ensure continuous support coverage.
