We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cloud technologies and eager to advance their careers in the cloud industry.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be part of our Cloud Management Office (CMO) talent pool, providing services to our Cloud Management and Optimization Service (CMOS) clients. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, performance, and efficiency of their cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, including monitoring and troubleshooting issues.
- Support the deployment, configuration, and scaling of cloud services to meet evolving business needs.
Performance Optimization
- Analyze system performance and usage metrics to identify potential areas for improvement.
- Implement optimization strategies to enhance cloud resource utilization and ensure cost efficiency
Shift Rotation
- Participate in a rotating shift schedule to provide 24/7 support for cloud services.
- Ensure consistent and reliable coverage during off-hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Facilitate smooth transitions between shift members to ensure continuity of service.
- Monitor cloud services for potential issues and respond to alerts promptly, in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Participate in incident response and resolution to minimize disruptions to cloud operations.
Automation and Scripting
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and processes, improving efficiency.
- Assist in the creation and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
Required
- 1-2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or familiarity with cloud support and operations.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their associated services.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and scripting tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to mentor junior employees and provide guidance.
- Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple CMOS accounts simultaneously
Preferred
- Major in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Certification in any major public cloud platform(e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
