Job summary

S&P Global is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to support and extend cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and automation. You will collaborate with DevOps, QA, and development teams to deliver secure, automated solutions and resilient systems.

The role requires practical DevOps and software engineering background, strong AWS and Terraform skills, plus scripting experience. Occasional weekend deployments and coordination with global teams are expected.

Qualifications

7-15 years of DevOps and Software Engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications.
Proven experience with AWS cloud technologies, GitHub, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiar with databases and database queries; Document-Oriented databases experience preferred.
Familiar with monitoring/logging tools like PagerDuty, Splunk; strong scripting/coding skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software teams to improve reliability, performance, security and scalability.
Provide BAU Production support and proactively resolve issues from monitoring or user reports.
Develop scripts in Terraform, Python and Unix shell to automate tasks.
Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform on AWS with best practices.
Work with databases, including DocumentDB or similar; manage AWS storage solutions.
Set up and configure monitoring (Grafana, PagerDuty, Splunk) for system health and incident response.
Occasional weekend deployments and coordination with teams in Europe/Asia.
