Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Assistant Manager/Senior Design Engineer to support the Design Manager, coordinating with consultants and clients on civil structural/MRT projects. You will monitor design progress, resolve technical issues, and prepare design submissions and reports.

Responsibilities include design reviews, drawings management, tender support, site interface coordination, and collaboration with authorities and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of civil & structural/geotechnical design.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Experience in infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, underground structures, metro, or railway is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design Manager in managing design consultants, submissions, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients to monitor design schedules and progress.
• Liaise with authorities, consultants, ICE, and subcontractors to resolve design and technical issues.
• Assist with design reviews, drawing management, reports, method statements, presentations, and interface coordination.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide engineering solutions for design-related issues arising on site.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.
• Support the Design Manager in tender preparation and submissions.
• Assist the Contract team with quantity take-off and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Prepare reports and presentations as required.
