Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam seeks a Civil Engineering professional to support tender and project design activities. You will assist the Design Manager with design deliverables, coordination with consultants and clients, and ensure timely submissions.

The role expects 5+ years design experience (8 for assistant manager) in infrastructure projects, strong English and Mandarin, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design Manager and participate in tender projects and submission.
• Coordinate with design consultants and clients for delivery schedules.
• Manage design deliverables, drawings, and interface with authorities and subcontractors.
• Attend project meetings and monitor design progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide engineering ideas/solutions for site-related design issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Company:

A leading civil engineering and construction firm, recognized as one of the top main contractors specializing in rail transit and underground space construction.

Job Responsibilities

1. Tender

• Assist Design Manager and participate in all kinds of tender project and submission wherever required.
• Assist contract department in quantity taking-off and bill of quantity.
• Assist in preparation of report and/or presentation where required.

2. Project

• Assist Design Manager on managing design consultant's deliverables and submission.
• Coordinate with design consultants and client for delivery schedule, monitor and track design progress, and update design status.
• Assist Design Manager in liaison among authorities, design consultants, ICE and/or subcontractors on the technical issues related to design, including to manage or mediate the comments in design and/or temporary work design submission reviewing process to ensure timely closed up by all parties.
• Assist Design Manager in all matters including design review and drawing management, prepare progress report/method statement/work procedure/presentation, interface management/ coordination and etc.
• Attend all meetings related to the projects undertaken.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with all team members and other stakeholders to monitor the design progress in order to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide engineering idea/solution to solve problems arise on construction site related to design.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years (for senior engineer position) or 8 years (for assistant manager position) of relevant design experience and experience in construction engineering.
• Technical expertise and knowledge in civil & structure/geotechnical design.
• Good common in English & Mandarin.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in infrastructure project like road/bridge, tunnel/underground structure, metro rail/railway and etc is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.

Working Location

Shah Alam (Fully Work from Office)

Working Day

Mon - Fri (8am - 5pm); Alternate Sat (8am - 1pm)

Contract

2 years (Renewable or Permanent Depending on Performance)

Remuneration

RM6,000 - RM10,000
