Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, is seeking a Sr. Building and Water Engineer in Penang. You will maintain and improve facility infrastructure to ensure flawless operations and lead building projects from scoping to handover.

Responsibilities include coordinating water systems, civil and site infrastructure, inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance, while applying AI tools to boost efficiency and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/building/facilities engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in building, civil, water, utilities, infrastructure, or facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of Malaysian codes and local authority requirements (UBBL, MS Standards, SPAN, EHS, fire safety).
• Experience with AI tools for efficiency and decision-making is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct care and durability of building structures and site infrastructure.
• Coordinate water systems including water reticulation, plumbing, sanitary, and drainage.
• Plan inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
• Lead building and infrastructure projects from scope, costing, execution, testing, and handover.
• Review drawings, specifications, risk assessments, schedules, and quality documents.
• Manage contractors, vendors, procurement support, site coordination, and safety compliance.
• Prepare budgets, cost estimates, asset lifecycle plans, risk registers, and management updates.
• Ensure compliance with Micron EHS requirements and local regulations.
• Apply AI tools and AI-enabled approaches to boost efficiency and decision-making.
