Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Building and Water Engineer in Penang to maintain and improve infrastructure for flawless operations. The role leads building and site projects, coordinates water systems, and ensures compliance with local regulations.

The ideal candidate has a civil/structural facilities background, 3+ years in relevant fields, and experience with building systems, preventive maintenance, and AI-enabled optimization. Relocation and detailed policy review may apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil/structural/building/facilities engineering, architecture or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building, civil, water, utilities, infrastructure or facilities maintenance.
Preferred experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, industrial, data center, pharmaceutical, or large commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

Direct care and durability of building structures, roofing, façade, roads, pavements, drainage, car parks, fencing, and site infrastructure.
Coordinate water, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, rainwater harvesting, pumping, tank, and drainage systems.
Plan inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, refurbishment, and reliability actions.
Lead infrastructure projects from scope development, cost estimation, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Review drawings, specifications, risk assessments, schedules, quality documents, and close-out records.
Manage contractors, consultants, vendors, procurement support, site coordination, quality control, safety compliance, and collaboration.
Prepare budgets, cost estimates, technical reports, asset lifecycle plans, risk registers, and management updates.
Ensure compliance with EHS, Malaysian regulations, audits and internal standards.
Apply AI tools and AI-supported approaches to boost efficiency and decision-making.
