Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. seeks a Senior BIM Modeler/Manager to own BIM delivery for a major LRT project in Penang. Lead a BIM team, govern multisector coordination, and ensure quality across contractors on site.

You will drive BIM standards, BEP creation, 4D simulations, and liaison with clients, PMC, and regulators. Strong Revit/Navisworks skills and ISO 19650 knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• BIM certification preferred (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, RICS BIM).
• 6–8 years BIM experience, with 5+ years in construction delivery.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia for reporting and client comms.
• Experience on railway, transit, or complex rail projects is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary BIM teams on large infra projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage BIM Coordinators, Modellers, and subcontractor BIM reps.
• Govern BIM compliance across all subcontractors Civil/Structural/Track/OCS/MEP.
• Chair BIM coordination meetings and resolve multi-discipline clashes at management level.
• Liaise with client, PMC, and regulators on BIM matters; escalate NCRs when needed.
• Guide outputs in Revit/Navisworks; oversee CDE/Forma design collaboration setup.
• Create, update and monitor a BEP aligned to EIR; manage 4D schedule-linked models.
• Apply ISO 19650 standards and Malaysian CIDB/JKR/MRT-LRT requirements.
• Coordinate multi-discipline output (Civil, Structural, Track, OCS, Signalling, E&M).
• Oversee LOD 300–500 delivery and AIM handover planning; ensure IFC/OpenBIM use.
• Run BIM audits; enforce MQC procedures; ensure federated, clash-free models.
• Develop sub-BEPs; review subcontractor BIM Execution Plans; approve outputs.
• Conduct regular BIM audits of subcontractor submissions and RFI/IFC readiness.

Senior BIM Modeler/Manager - Railway Project

We are seeking a seasoned BIM Manager to take full ownership of BIM delivery for the LRT Project, leading our digital engineering efforts from detailed design through to construction handover. Client facing leadership role, manage the team and hold accountability for BIM quality across all disciplines and subcontractors on site.

Liaise directly with the client, project management consultant (PMC), and regulatory bodies on all BIM matters

Escalate, arbitrate, and resolve BIM non-conformances (NCRs) across the supply chain

Proficient in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage capable of guiding and reviewing team output

Proficient in CDE/Autodesk Forma Design Collaboration setup, governance, access control, monitoring & troubleshooting

Capable of creating, updating, and monitoring a project-level BIM Execution Plan (BEP) aligned to EIR

Proficient in 4D Construction Simulation able to review, approve, and present schedule-linked models

Deep knowledge of ISO 19650 (Parts 1 & 2) and Malaysian BIM standards (CIDB, JKR, MRT/LRT BIM requirements)

Experience governing multi-discipline coordination Civil, Structural, Track, OCS, Signalling, SCADA, E&M

Proficient in LOD 300–500 delivery strategy and asset information model (AIM) handover planning

Experienced with IFC/Open BIM, COBie, and data handover to infrastructure asset operators

Familiar with point cloud, survey data, and GIS integration into the federated BIM model

Able to establish and enforce Model Quality Control (MQC) procedures and BIM audit protocols

Subcontractor BIM Governance

Develop and issue BIM requirements to all subcontractors via sub-BEPs and Model Production & Delivery Tables (MPDT)

Review and approve subcontractor BIM Execution Plans before mobilization

Conduct regular BIM audits on subcontractor model submissions

Ensure subcontractor models are federated, coordinated, and clash-free prior to RFI/IFC issuance

Hold subcontractors accountable to CDE workflows, naming conventions, and submission schedules

Job Requirements

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (postgraduate is an advantage).

BIM-related professional certification preferred (e.g. Autodesk Certified Professional, RICS BIM, or equivalent)

Minimum 6-8 years of BIM experience, with at least 5 years in construction delivery

Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia for reporting, presentations, and client correspondence

Proven experience managing BIM on railway, transit, or complex rail systems projects is a strong advantage

Demonstrated track record leading multi-disciplinary BIM teams on large-scale infrastructure projects

Willing to be stationed full-time in Penang for the project duration

Lead BIM delivery on one of Malaysia's most significant transit infrastructure projects
