Job summary

DH DIGILAB (M) SDN BHD is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong backend capability to join our engineering team and contribute to a large-scale property platform. The role values solid software engineering fundamentals and ownership over a broad set of responsibilities.

You will own features from requirements to production, design backend services and databases, implement authentication/authorization and RBAC, and collaborate with frontend developers when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience preferred; strong candidates may be considered with less.
• Strong backend development fundamentals including API design, architecture and database design.
• Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, with SQL performance basics.
• Experience with modern web app development; React/Next.js is a plus.
• Experience with Git, code review, automated testing and collaborative workflows.
• Comfortable with Linux, Docker, CI/CD and cloud/server environments.
• Ability to work independently, investigate problems and make sound technical decisions.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver software features from requirement to production.
• Design and build reliable backend services, REST APIs and system integrations.
• Design database schemas and write efficient queries for production workloads.
• Implement authentication, authorization and RBAC.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and contribute to frontend development when required.
• Review code, improve engineering standards and help maintain code quality.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Participate in architecture discussions and challenge unclear or risky technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
