Job summary

ZUS COFFEE is seeking a Senior DevOps / SRE to own the reliability of our production platform across multiple regions. You will shape SLOs/SLIs, lead incident responses, and drive preventative actions to keep services fast and resilient.

In this role you will manage AWS ECS, load balancers, auto scaling, CloudWatch, and infrastructure as code (Terraform / CloudFormation). You’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve observability and fault tolerance.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or Production Engineering.
• Extensive hands-on AWS experience with ECS, Docker, VPC, load balancing and Auto Scaling in high-traffic environments.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting using Go, Python or Bash.
• Working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry, with practical experience in observability and monitoring.
• A solid understanding of SLOs, SLIs, error budgets and resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, health checks and graceful degradation.
• Experience handling on-call rotations, leading incidents, conducting root cause analysis and driving preventive improvements.
• Ability to partner with development teams on service architecture, communicate clearly under pressure and take ownership of reliability risks.
• Multi-region infrastructure, service mesh, AWS ECR, Lambda, event-driven architecture or AWS cost optimisation experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in F&B, retail or other consumer businesses with peak-hour traffic patterns is also a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own production reliability and availability across multiple regions: uptime, latency, and performance under high traffic.
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets.
• Lead incident response and root cause analyses (RCA) for production issues with blameless postmortems.
• Manage AWS infrastructure for containerised services: ECS, ALB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, and VPC networking.
• Own CI/CD pipelines for microservices—deployment reliability and infrastructure consistency.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation) and automate recurring tasks.
• Drive observability through metrics, logging, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
• Adopt resilience patterns: health checks, circuit breakers, retries, fault tolerance, redundancy, and graceful degradation.
• Maintain operational runbooks and on-call response processes.
