Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join its Cloud Development Platform and DevSecOps team in Malaysia. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on scalable cloud services, architectural governance and mentoring across global engineering groups.

You will drive decisions on AWS, microservices and IaC, shaping secure, resilient platforms while collaborating with stakeholders worldwide to deliver high‑impact cloud and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of cross-functional projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, including concurrency, multithreading, reactive programming and JVM optimisation.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot, including Security, WebFlux, Data/MyBatis and Spring internals.
• Strong experience designing and operating microservices on AWS, particularly: ECS, DynamoDB, Aurora, SQS / SNS, EventBridge, Lambda.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform and CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI, cloud security, resilience and operational excellence.
• Experience with modern testing tools such as TestContainers, WireMock, RestAssured or LocalStack.
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
