Job summary

FOCUS INSIGHT TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD is seeking a Senior Automation Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize control systems for automated machinery. You will leverage strong C#/.NET/WPF skills to deliver reliable automation solutions for semiconductor-related projects.

Responsibilities include motion control, protocol integration (EtherCAT, Modbus, PROFINET, OPC UA), on-site troubleshooting, and documentation. Requires 3–5+ years in industrial automation and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Mechatronics or related field.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or machine building.
• Strong programming in C#, .NET, WPF and system integration skills.
• Solid knowledge of EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA and MES.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation software for industrial machines.
• Develop motion control solutions for servo systems, robotics, and precision machinery.
• Integrate devices using EtherCAT, Modbus, PROFINET, OPC UA and related protocols.
• Lead modular system design for scalability, safety, and version control.
• Collaborate with engineers, test, commission, and troubleshoot on-site.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
