Job summary

TE Connectivity in Penang seeks a Senior MPDE Automation Engineer with a strong Mechanical Engineering background to lead the development and implementation of automated manufacturing systems for cable assembly. You will drive process innovation, quality improvements, and operational excellence while supporting new product introduction and DFM initiatives.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver scalable, cost-effective

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in automation engineering or related fields.
Strong knowledge of automated assembly equipment and manufacturing systems.
Experience with robotics, machine vision, sensors, and motion control.

Responsibilities

Lead automation development for cable assembly manufacturing, guiding lines from concept to validation.
Drive innovation in automation technologies to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Support product development and DFM by optimizing designs for automated manufacturing and creating tooling/prototypes.
Design and qualify tooling, fixtures, and automated processes ensuring quality and reliability.
Assess supplier technical capabilities and drive process capability improvements.
